World Health Corporation is one of the major players within the global medical market. We have spent the past 2 years looking at the overseas surgery market with a view to increasing patient safety. Within our group we have unique insurance policies that provide cover for patients travelling abroad and after 6 months working with ISAPS we have added an exclusive fix at home clause to the policy meaning that any complications can be rectified in the country of your residence instead of having to travel back to the country of your surgery. This was agreed from Lloyd's of London on the proviso that we audited all of the surgeons that are going to perform the treatment and that we audited any facilitator that would be promoting this policy.
We are in the process of auditing both facilitators and surgeons who will be added to our members directory in the coming month. We are presenting this month at the ISAPS congress in San Francisco to 1500 member surgeons who will be told about the opportunities of been involved with this Global Patient Safety programme. After the congress we expect to have many hundred surgeons audited and working with both WHS and our facilitators.
